People have strong feelings about AI. We discovered that using a human representation in the marketing and onboarding was helpful. But in the meeting, users want a more abstracted entity that was not as prominent.
The agent needed to communicate across a wide range of mediums to accomodate marketing assets, product configuration and the in meeting experience.

During early research I mapped out the emerging themes being used to represent AI entities. Prominent themes included non human/abstract shapes, realistic robots and cartoon realism
While developing tone and voice guidelines, I used Gemini and OpenAI to create a series of AI personas based on established cinema and gaming characters.
Having human faces performed best in upper funnel efforts while a subdued abstract entity worked better in the meeting.
Ultimately the use of the image really depended on the context.
